Congratulations to Evy Sands and Yousef Almusallam for being the January Age Group Swimmers of the Month.Evy Sands swam four new personal best times and moved closer to Junior Olympic qualifying times.Yousef swam five personal bests and placed in the top five at the Saint Andrews Meet in both breaststroke events.Great job Evy and Yousef.

From St. Andrews Swim Meet this past weekend, another Davie Show!

From Ecuador, Ivan Enderica represented his country at Rome World Swimming Championship with double duty: he was at open water and also at pool events.

Enderica join our program this year and he is training for the 2009 Odesur Games in Colombia. Next month, Enderica will swim at 2010 Grand Prix Missouri.

We have the honor to inform Mr. Husain AlMusallam, a Davie Nadadores parent of two swimmers, was elected last weekend the new Vice President of FINA for Asia. Mr. AlMusallam was already a FINA Bureau Member and is the General Secretary of Kuwait Swimming Association. We are very proud to have a top personality in our program and wishing you a great success on this new journey.

Brothers Pedro Henrique and Carlos Eduardo Gomes are two additions to our Senior Team. Originally from Brazil, swimmers from Club Paulistano and well prepared by coach Marcelo Tomazini, the Gomes move to USA following their dreams and looking for better future in swimming. We are so proud to receive you and be part of our family.

On behalf of Davie Nadadores Coaching Staff we would like to say thank you to all 21 teams, 266 swimmers, 15 officials, parents and volunteers for the fantastic swim meet we had this past weekend. Was not easy, but a great experience for all of us. We had two great sessions full of fast swims and positive atmosphere.

Special thanks to NSU Aquatics Director Jody Johnson, to the Meet Referee Jay Thomas and our Meet Manager Cindy Jones.

From Italy, 19 years old, Alex Di Giorgio, member of the Italian Junior National Team, is another addition to our Elite Group.

Alex was a silver medal at 2008 Junior Worlds in Monterrey Mexico and silver medal 2009 European Junior Championship. He is already confirmed at Grand Prix Missouri and this season will represent his country at several International Meets.

Selected to represent her country (Chile) at ODESUR Games and Latin Cup, Mariana Schnetler decided to do her whole preparation at Davie Nadadores. One of the top distance swimmers in Chile, Mariana has 17 years old and is planning to attend a college in US.

This is a plan for 2011, now she is focus on her training at Davie looking forward for great results on this season.

Gabriel Perez Silva, 12 years old, is already one of the top swimmers at Coach Grady`s group. Gabriel is a 7th grader at St. Gregory Middle School and his favorite strokes are free and butterlfy.

Felipe Lima, 24 years old, a member of Brazilian National Team, former South-American record holder 50 breast. Felipe moved to Florida looking forward to represent his country at Pan Pacific Championships next August and the World Short Course Championships in Dubai in December.
